What tube size does the air stone go with?
You’ll need either a 3/8″ ID or a 1/4″ ID tubing to easily connect the air stone bubbler. It also comes with a 90-degree metal air inlet that prevents the tube from kinking.

How often do I need to change my blue Japanese filter mat?
You won’t need another mat ever! It is washable, self-supporting and extremely inert. It is thicker by 1.5” compared to similar filter mats, which gives you better filtration and more space for the beneficial bacteria to grow.

Can I cut the Japanese blue mat to fit my aquarium, or does it lose its guarantee?
You can surely cut it to fit your space, without losing our lifetime guarantee. We’re more than sure this is the only filter mat you’ll ever buy.
As to cutting it, some of our past clients reported that it’s so coarse you’ll need a knife with a serrated edge or a soldering iron to do it.
